The Weekly Decree and SOS Revitalising Sheet Mask are formulated with precisely dosed actives and their efficacy depends on those ingredients being stable and intact.

It depends on which Decree mask you're using. With the Weekly Decree, yes, rinsing is an essential part of both steps. The Airbrushing Acid (Step 1) should be removed thoroughly with a damp washcloth after two minutes of activation, and the Replenishing Paste (Step 2) should be rinsed off, but the longer you can leave this on the better as it's replenishing your skin - we recommend a minimum of ten minutes. Because Step 1 contains a clinical-grade blend of glycolic, lactic, and pyruvic acids, leaving it on longer than directed or skipping the rinse could cause unnecessary sensitivity. With the SOS Revitalising Sheet Mask, no rinsing is needed. Once you remove the mask after a minimum of 15 minutes, simply massage any remaining serum gently into the face, neck, and décolletage and allow it to absorb. The bio-cellulose formula is designed to leave a conditioning layer on the skin, so washing it off would undo the benefit. In both cases, follow with your serum and moisturiser to lock in results.
